JOB TITLE: Account Manager 




JOB OBJECTIVE:  The Account Manager is the representative responsible for one or more client accounts. They must have a firm understanding of the client’s businesses. The account manager coordinates with the production manager to ensure client satisfaction.


The account manager has significant input in developing strategic marketing plans for their clients, working closely with the SVP or Account Supervisor.  After plans are developed and presented to clients, the account manager is accountable for carrying out the plan.




  • Keep apprised of the progress of clients’ projects.

  • Communicating to the client regarding the progress of the work.

  • Development and distribution of creative brief for all projects.

  • Accountable for documentation of all client interactions.

  • Quickly and accurately relays changes to all appropriate firm personnel.

  • Have a deep understanding of clients’ brands/products/services/market developments.

  • Assists in preparing client invoices, proposals, marketing communications and strategic marketing plans, media, and public relations plans. 

  • Regularly checks for and responds promptly to all client communications, including calls and emails.

  • Acts as a checkpoint and approves creative/production materials, copy, layouts, and production art, before SVP and coordinates client approval.

  • Informs SVP regularly of account progress for all assigned clients; involves SVP immediately in case of potential problems, i.e., client/firm relations, budget overruns, missed milestones, etc.

  • Confirms project timing and budgets with clients.

  • Actively seeks additional projects/new business from client contacts.

  • Seeks out new business opportunities with new clients.

  • Professionally represents firm at industry and community functions.




  • Must be passionate, insightful, enjoyable, and brave.

  • BS in marketing, advertising, communications, or similar. 

  • 2-5 years of experience in the marketing advertising field – firm experience a plus.

  • General understanding of production agriculture. 

  • Ability to work remotely and independently. 

  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented. 

  • High competency and ability to learn new technology, specifically computer and software skills compatible with job responsibilities.

  • Excellent communications skills – digital, in-person, and over the phone. 

  • Ability and willingness to travel. 

  • Big-thinker, go-getter, fun-haver.
